You know the way people start a new month with renewed energy in the morning?
Yesterday, the first day of June, I woke up around noon — not from laziness, but from the kind of tired that lives deep in your bones. The kind that makes you long for a few days of silence, of stillness, of nothingness. I just felt… heavy. Like I needed a break from being “on.”
Later in the evening, while on the phone with my best friend, I found myself ranting about how tired I was. Tired mentally, tired emotionally, even a little tired spiritually. But as I took that walk, I remembered a quote I’d saved just last week
“What a blessing it is to be tired in the pursuit of a challenge of your choosing.”
And just like that — something shifted.
I realized that this tiredness I feel? It’s sacred. It’s not rooted in frustration or resentment. It’s the exhaustion that comes with pouring myself into things that matter to me. Work, ideas, dreams, projects that spark something inside me. And not everyone gets to say that.
So yes, I’m tired. But I’m privileged and also grateful.
Grateful to be walking this path. Grateful that God has allowed me to create, to serve, to live purposefully. It gave me a renewed sense of energy — a reminder that this isn’t just effort; it’s a privilege. So this week, I’m choosing to keep going. To show up. To do my best — not perfectly, but passionately.
So if you're feeling it too — the weight, the burnout, the stillness you crave — I want you to also feel this: gratitude, for the path you're on. Permission, to rest without guilt. And encouragement, to keep going in your own pace and rhythm.
Because this new month? It’s your reminder that you can be both weary and worthy.
You can start again — softly, steadily, and with all the grace you need.
Happy New Month, Àjọṣé Tribe.
Let’s step into June with more compassion for ourselves, and more joy in the journey ahead.
✨ This Week’s Affirmations
I am grateful to be doing work that feeds my soul.
My tiredness is not weakness — it is proof of my commitment.
I honor my need to rest and my desire to grow.
I am showing up, even when I’m not at 100% — and that is enough.
Reflective & Journaling Prompts
1. What’s one area of my life where I feel tired, but also blessed?
Let yourself acknowledge both truths.
2. What fuels me right now — even when I feel like giving up?
Get honest about the things that keep you going.
3. How can I practice gratitude and rest this week?
It doesn’t have to be grand. Think: unplugging for 30 mins, journaling in silence, or simply doing nothing without guilt.
💌 Add-On of the Week
🎧 Song of the Week:
Because even in our tiredness, we’re still walking in something beautiful. Let this be your reminder.
✨ Fun Little Fact:
Studies show that even 10 minutes of intentional rest (like deep breathing or lying in silence) can boost your creativity and focus for hours. Rest isn’t a reward; it’s part of the work.

I felt exactly like this too! I just wrote about this and ngl, it kind of made me feel better that someone else feels the way I do.
